Buzzd has a personal tale to it. I was walking around NYC with my girlfriend looking for a wine bar and decided to give Buzzd a whirl. It’s a location-based-service application that looks for restaurants or other things to do in your current area. The app helped us discover one of our favorite wine bars, which we’ve visited time and time again. Restaurants are displayed with a clean user interface along with address and phone number information. If you like or hate what you’ve visited, you can “thrill” or “kill” a restaurant by rating it and leaving a comment. The application is free but has unobtrusive banner ads at the bottom of some pages.
